Associate Director - Analytics Engineering

Join MSD’s Human Health Division, which operates with a "patient first, profits later" ideology. We seek a dynamic leader for our Human Health Digital, Data & Analytics (HHDDA) team, partaking in the company's transformation towards becoming a premier "Data First" commercial biopharma organization. In this role, you will lead the development of analytical data products and capabilities to support data science and analytics use cases. Your focus will be on leveraging real-world data and commercial data to develop robust data pipelines and products that serve the strategic needs of the business. Responsibilities: - Design and implement analytics-ready data products. - Lead and coordinate teams of analytics engineers and data architects. - Partner with data science teams for data modeling and feature engineering. - Advise stakeholders on using data models effectively. - Manage data movement leveraging modern data architecture concepts. - Oversee data quality measures to ensure trustworthiness. - Engage with stakeholders across various geographies effectively. Education Requirements: - B.S., M.S., or Ph.D. in Engineering, Computer Science, Data Science, Business, or a related field Experience Requirements: - Minimum of 14 years in pharmaceutical/life sciences industry. - Proven experience in leading analytics projects (5+ years required). - Strong knowledge of commercial/marketing analytics data landscape. - Proficient in SQL, Python, and AWS. - Experience with data visualizations technologies like PowerBI. - Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. - 5+ years in team leadership and management. Preferred Qualifications: - Analytics experience informing marketing strategies for pharmaceutical products. - Agile methodology experience. - Certifications in AWS and Databricks are advantageous.
